The One:One Collection Museum - have your say
In November 2019, we were chuffed to be granted planning permission to create a new vehicle entrance to the front of our 130,000 sq foot former warehouse, the first step in creating a new visitor attraction for Kent.
Earlier this year we also appointed Haptic Architects, a London-based firm with links to Thanet, to work with us on developing their exciting early ideas for the building’s gradual evolution from storage facility to museum in the making.
They’ve been working with us ever since and, in October, together we submitted the Planning Application to Thanet District Council for the main development to the building.
You can view a summary of the Planning Application here
Or you can access the complete Planning Application on Thanet District Council’s website.
You can also log a comment on the application – so if you believe, like we do, that The One:One Collection will be a positive asset to Thanet, this is your chance to support us!
We hope to get a positive response, but are likely to have to wait until at least January 2021 before permission is granted.
Once permission is granted, fully developing The One:One Collection Museum is expected to take three to four years, subject to construction schedules, but we do hope to welcome rail enthusiasts to more open events in the meantime.
